I found the BEST view in Denver – Winter guide

1. Ice skating in downtown

Every year Southwest opens up their ice-skating rink in downtown Denver. It cost $12 to rent skates. Here you can enjoy drinks from Uncle Tims – a local distillery and ice skate you

2. Holiday Pop up Bars

Ace Eat & Serve

  • This is a small pop-up area located in the restaurant, but Ace Eat & Serve has a fun ping pong area to enjoy and play after. You do have to rent paddles, but it is worth every second when you crush your friends in table tennis

Miracle bar

  • Bringing the classic holiday vibes with the over the top decor, on theme drinks, elf movie items and free popcorn

Wonderyard

  • Maybe a hot take if you know but I think this is some of the best holiday drinks I had during my winter exploring (I visited 7 different spots)

3. Christkindl Market

This German inspired market is one I never miss come holiday season! It has tons of food, music and you can’t forget the Mile High Tree! Civic center is lit up for all the holiday fun!

4. Cherry Creek Holiday Market

This market is on the smaller side but super cute and offers tons of small business shopping. It’s perfect for getting your holiday gifts! it’s about a two block worth of shopping which includes a couple food spot and a drink spot at the very end. At the end of the market you can sip on drinks in a covered relaxing area

5. Union Station

This is a Denver staple and after being under construction for a little while it is back and cute as always. The holiday tree is out in classic Denver fashion and a new to me holiday pop up is here. Miracle bars have been popping up in Denver for a while, but never have I seen a pop up under the grand Union Station itself! take photos by the tree, enjoy people watching, get a drink at Terminal bar or Miracle

6. The Source!

Now for the BEST view in Denver. No this is not the joke that can be found in downtown Denver of 16th street this is the for real best view in Denver. Here you can enjoy both the mountains and the city while sipping on food and drinks at the Woods. There is a marketplace connected to the hotel with several food spots, a food hall located 2 blocks away, a brewery basically across the street, a virtual golf spot nearby, a dispensary steps away and a 7/11 close by in case you need anything!

The Source hotel is location in the Rino area which is about 10 mins from the heart of Denver but is a great location for anyone visiting Denver. It’s easy to get to as you can take the train from the airport saving $30- $50 on uber and you can take the train straight into Union Station. Once at Union Station you can enjoy many icon sights and more! This is one of my favorite hotels in the city!
