Visiting LA – First visit

For all my little first-time tripper to LA this is what I would recommend

LA Brea Tar Pits

one of the world’s most famous fossil sites. Situated in the heart of Los Angeles, this natural wonder preserves the remains of prehistoric animals that got trapped in the sticky tar thousands of years ago. Showcasing these fascinating fossils, including mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and giant ground sloths. Don’t forget to walk around the tar pits themselves to see the bubbling tar still oozing from the ground!

Santa Monica Pier

The pier is home to the iconic Ferris wheel, Pacific Park amusement park, and the world-famous aquarium. Spend the day walking along the boardwalk, soaking up the ocean breeze, playing arcade games, and indulging in snacks. Or live your true Barbie Dream by renting bikes or rollerblades!

The Broad

This stunning architectural masterpiece houses a vast collection of contemporary art, featuring works by Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, and more. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended for the popular exhibits. Be sure to check out the famous Infinity Mirror Rooms by Yayoi Kusama

Grand Central Market

Grand Central Market is the heartbeat of Downtown LA’s food scene. Inside this bustling food hall, you’ll find a wide variety of local vendors offering everything from tacos and ramen to gourmet coffee and fresh juices. Don’t miss the famous Eggslut for their delicious breakfast sandwiches or the tacos at Tacos Tumbras a Tomas.

Walk of Fame

No trip to LA is complete without a visit to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This famous sidewalk is lined with over 2,600 brass stars honoring celebrities from all walks of life.

Dolby theater

Take a guided tour to learn about the history of the Oscars and the theater itself. Even if you’re not visiting during the award season, the Dolby Theatre offers a glimpse into the world of film, television, and entertainment. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a live performance or movie premiere.

Randy’s donuts

known for its giant rooftop donut that’s become an Instagram sensation. Since 1952, this family-owned shop has been serving up delicious, freshly-made donuts in classic flavors like glazed, chocolate, and maple bacon. Whether you’re stopping by for a morning treat or indulging in a late-night snack, Randy’s is a perfect spot.

In and Out

Known for its fresh, never frozen burgers and fries, In-N-Out has a cult following. While the menu is simple, the flavors are unbeatable. Don’t forget to ask for your burger “Animal Style” for an extra kick of flavor with grilled onions and mustard. Be ready for a long line, but it’s totally worth the wait!

Griffith Observatory

If you want breathtaking views of LA, head to the Griffith Observatory. Situated atop the Hollywood Hills, the observatory offers panoramic views of the city, including the iconic Hollywood Sign. The observatory’s planetarium offers a range of fascinating shows and exhibits about astronomy, and admission is free!
